Random again
Remember that one day when I had a ginormous headache/borderline migraine, and I had to stay at work because no one else on my team was there, and my head was pounding, and my eyes were watering, and the overhead paging was incessant, and the lights were horribly bright, and I had no choice but to put on Ryan's sunglasses from the car and zone out to Disintegration with my ear buds in so that I didn't melt into a puddle and die?
Oh yeah, that was today. And I totally remember!
To make it memorable, I took this silly picture and posted it later on Facebook. Surprisingly, I got 11 comments and 5 likes on it. Who knew it would generate so much discussion?!
I still have the headache, but has subsided to a dull roar. After work I felt well enough to go with Ryan to Shopko to take advantage of our $10 coupon. It was a "spend $20, get $10 off" coupon, so we thought we'd buy some dryer sheets and some cheapie Halloween decorations for $20, spend only $10, and head on home.
Really? We really thought we could get out of there spending only $10? Hahahahaha!
We walked out of Shopko with dryer sheets, a pirate costume for Ryan, a vampiress costume for me, a sword, an eye patch, a hook, eye liner, nail polish, and black lipstick.
It reminds me of the time that we took Nathan and Abby to Shopko to buy a little Easter candy on clearance and we walked out with $50 worth of candy, egg dye, and a rabbit for Abby's room. Ah, Shopko - a family hangout, my grandma's favorite store, and a black hole for my money.
We came home and tried on our costumes. Mine looks good. Ryan's looks awesome!
After taking off my costume and putting on my pajamas, I sliced a loaf of bread that I made last night. Dizzy Doggy hovered at my feet, hoping for some crumbs. I stopped what I was doing and asked her to "shake." For the very first time ever, she obeyed! I rewarded her with scraps of bread. The crazy thing is that about a year ago, Abby taught Carmen how to shake in about 5 minutes. Dizzy has steadfastly refused to shake until now. I wonder why she changed her mind. Silly dogs!
So it's been a pretty random day. Is your head spinning yet? Mine is! I'm sure more random things could happen tonight but I think I need to go to bed and sleep off the rest of this headache. Thus ends this random blog entry.
Penny and Julee, I hope you liked this one!
