Laughter is the best medicine

Cathita and Curtessa at Yellowcard
(inside joke!)

My tender heart has needed some TLC lately, so Ryan and I did a few fun things last week.

Thursday we met up with Brett, Cathie, and Cathie's new boyfriend at the Yellowcard concert. Brett was my roomie for about a year, and Cathie and I have friends for a loooong time. I just love that family! It was fun to see Cathie with her new BF... he seems like a good guy and she seems so happy. Yellowcard was fantastic as always and I sang along to all the songs and even did a little dancing before my back got too sore.

Friday night, our niece and nephew Josh and Jessica came down for a visit from Logan. The twins are so much fun! I wish they lived closer so we could see them all the time. I also watched a super scary movie, Audition, with Lori, Amy, and Michelle. I love scaries!

Kitty & Diana at Pipa

Saturday night we had a spur of the moment meet-up with Ryan and Diana. We ate at our favorite tapas restaurant, Pipa. Love love love the Pipa! Diana and I shared a caraf of coconut-flavored sake. Mmmmmmm, sake! I need to get more of this great stuff!

To top off our already lovely evening with the Hanks, we finished up with dessert at Gourmandise. They serve incredibly good cakes, pastries, cookies, bars, you name it. I wish I had two stomachs and an unlimited caloric intake so I could have eaten more and more! SLC-ers, you really much check this place out.

We had some great talks with Miss Abigail this weekend and that made us so happy. Christmas is getting closer and we can't wait to see our kiddos! We're already planning some fun stuff.

You'd think with all this fun that I was on vacation. No, I actually worked a ton, too... but the extra fun balanced out the extra work. I like it that way! So my tender heart really isn't feeling as tender these days. Laughter really is the best medicine. Such a nice feeling.

Kate! We have been missing you. I met your friend pictured above at a party and I've been meaning to tell you that for the longest time. Also I love gormandies their fudge cuo is the best! Come over to hang out anytime, laugh? or cry? I go between the two all the time.
