I have a hard time knowing how other people perceive me; I'm not privy to that view. So many of my thoughts and feelings are shared with only my (very small) inner circle or not at all. I wonder sometimes if anybody really knows me at all.
So I asked for Ryan's help on this one. He chose Jane's Addiction's song Classic Girl.
It totally surprised me. I guess I see myself as someone who is laughs a lot and makes light of heavy situations and stumbles and falls and gets back up a lot. I feel I've always been pretty average. I haven't accomplished anything really noteworthy. I'm not super smart and I'm not super pretty. Thank you, Ryan, for calling me your classic girl, and for telling me me that I make you better.
The video is very sweet. The lyrics are so gentle. I love Jane's Addiction. And I love Ryan Boyle even more. I believe in him... but more importantly, he believes in me.
