The time has come for me to put up my Christmas decorations. I love doing this! Christmas is really the only holiday that I decorate my home for, so I look forward to doing it every year.
Last night after work, I brought up a few boxes from the basement that contain my Christmas decorations. I guess compared to some Americans, I don't have much - but to me, it is a whole lot!
Carmen and Dizzy were very excited for this big event. Here they are, waiting for me to begin.

Dizzy got impatient while I was unwrapping ornaments and other decorations, so she did a little exploring of her own.

I laid out all of the tree ornaments on a card table. The tree isn't up yet (Ryan will be helping me with it this weekend) and I needed a place to lay them all out. I have a hodge-podge of ornaments that I have gathered over the years. I don't have as many as I used to, so I would like to add to my collection. We'll see what catches my eye as I am out and about doing Christmas shopping. Anyway, here is the card table with the ornaments.

Here are a few finished touches.
These pretty pine branches hanging by my front door
bid a warm welcome and a fond farewell to guests.
Mom sent me this cool Santa wreath one year.
It hangs by the door that leads to my garage.
The piano is graced by my cute little ice cube man,
a candle holder (a gift from Fran), and a funky tin Santa.
Doesn't the dining room table look festive?
I love that Carmen is hanging out in the background of this picture!
I painted these wooden blocks one year in Enrichment Class
to go with the pine and twinkle lights for my fireplace. After all was sorted, displayed, and hung up, guess who stopped by... Ryan... with flowers! They were so pretty that I had to take a picture! They are so fragrant and fill my downstairs with happiness. Sweet surprises like these are one of the many reasons why I love Ryan!
Ryan's flowers. So elegant and pretty!
